Research interests

Research interests are in the area of affective behavioural computing and robotics, and include automatic analysis of social behaviour, context-based affect recognition, social robotics, and evaluation of affective inter-action.

Current project

Working towards my PhD as a member of the team working on EU FP7 EMOTE project. The EMOTE project will design, develop and evaluate a new generation of artificial embodied tutors that have perceptive capa-bilities to engage in empathic interactions with learners in a shared physical space. Currently working on the design of the learning environment, paying particular attention to learner modelling and the transition between discovery and guided learning.
